1942 Vintage Bank Vault in Kennett California

An old bank vault exists in Kennett, California, a former gold mining town in Shasta County. In June 1942, the area was preparing for inundation due to the construction of Shasta Dam. Once a vibrant community, Kennett now has approximately twenty residents. The vault serves as a reminder of the towns rich mining heritage.
