Workers Installing Rafters at Food Storage Plant 1938

In May 1938, workers assemble precut rafters in a jig for truss production at a food storage plant in New Madrid County, Missouri. This site was part of the Southeast Missouri Farms Project, which aimed to improve agricultural infrastructure. The FSA/OWI Collection preserves important economic initiatives from the 1930s and 1940s.
