Built in 1851, the structure features a one-story entrance porch adorned with four Ionic columns, showcasing the architectural style of its era. Originally owned by Daniel Griffen, the property later changed hands to Colonel Randolph Mott.
The buildings foundation and walls are composed of hand-pressed brick, lending a unique character to its design. Notably, the roof was raised in 1892, transforming it to a steep mansard style complemented by circular dormers and an attic. This architectural evolution reflects the trends of the late 19th century.
