1939 Steel Shelters at Migrant Workers Camp in Westley CA

A United States Government camp for migratory workers exists in Westley, California, in February 1939. Dorothea Lange documented the transition from tents to pre-fabricated steel shelters in this newly built facility. The camp aimed to provide stable housing for workers during the Great Depression.
