About Alexis, Illinois
Alexis is an Illinois village spanning Warren and Mercer counties, with 793 residents recorded in the 2020 census. First laid out in 1870 as Alexandria or Alexandria Station after the railroad arrived, it was later renamed during Grand Duke Alexis's visit to the United States.
