About Bison, South Dakota
From the National Park Service: "The Anna Carr Homestead, built in 1907, is a one story sod house with a wood rear addition. The Carrs cut the sod from the surrounding prairie in strips of about one and a half feet square and eight inches high. They then stacked them to form walls seven feet tall."
