About Cave City, Arkansas
From the CALS Encyclopedia of Arkansas: "The town takes its name from the large multi-room Crystal River Cave, which is located directly beneath the city. The cave has played a pivotal role in the history of the entire community."
From the CALS Encyclopedia of Arkansas: "In the 1870s, the post office was moved from Loyal to the present location of Cave City. Following the general election of 1892, the post office was renamed Cave City on December 16, 1892."
