Chickamauga Dam Switchyard Vintage Image June 1942

The Chickamauga Dams switchyard, located near Chattanooga, Tennessee, was photographed in June 1942. This Tennessee Valley Authority project has a power capacity of 81,000 kilowatts, expandable to 108,000 kilowatts. The dams reservoir provides 377,000 acre-feet of water, vital for domestic, agricultural, and industrial use.
