From the 1930s through the 1940s, the "linen" postcard reached its golden age, its soft, textured paper and bright inks capturing everyday American scenes in vivid color. This edition comes from the work of Tichnor Bros. Inc. of Boston, whose images are preserved today in the celebrated Tichnor Brothers Collection.
