About Conway Springs, Kansas
From the Kansas State Teachers College: "Hiram Cranmer founded the town so Cranmer Springs was suggested for a name. However, a claim holder who had come to the community in 1875 was made the first trustee of Conway Township and naming the town was left up to him."
