This vintage photograph captures the historic courthouse located in Edenton, Chowan County, North Carolina. Constructed in 1767, this building is the second courthouse in the area, following the first, which was built in 1719. Remarkably, the structure remains in its original state and is recognized as the oldest courthouse still in use in North Carolina.
