About Ellaville, Georgia
Ellaville is the seat of Schley County and had 1,595 residents at the 2020 census. Its history reaches back to Pond Town, established in 1812 near the present Ellaville City Cemetery. Local streets include Oglethorpe Street, Broad Street, and Hill Street.

- Muscogee Nation LandsThe area belonged to the Muscogee (Creek) Nation until it became part of Georgia in 1821 after the Treaty of Indian Springs.
