In April 1942, George Lane, a skilled craftsman from De Land, Florida, paints pool products. At sixty, he draws on his experience as a former house painter. Lane served in World War I with the British Army. His two sons serve in the American Army, while his daughter volunteers in the Womens Army Auxiliary Corps. Seven of his nephews enlist in the British Army. The image is part of the FSA/OWI Collection, reflecting the contributions of individuals during World War II.
