This map was created using accurate cartographic data and authoritative geographic sources, including the U.S. Geological Survey and the Census Bureau, with the trail traced from OpenStreetMap. It brings together terrain, rivers, roads and building detail along the length of the passage. Trail towns are labeled, from Garrett, Rockwood and Confluence to Ohiopyle, Connellsville, West Newton and Boston, and the topography is derived from government sources.
