Located in Worcester County on a narrow barrier island between the ocean and the bay, Ocean City has welcomed summer visitors as one of Maryland's favorite seaside resorts since the late 19th century.
From the 1930s through the 1940s, American "linen" postcards reached their golden age, prized for their textured finish and vivid, saturated colors. This edition comes from the era of Tichnor Bros. Inc. of Boston, whose work is preserved today in the celebrated Tichnor Brothers Collection. It has been carefully restored and color-revived by KNOWOL to bring back its original warmth and detail.
