Guayule Rubber Production Process December 1941

In December 1941, a vintage image documents the production of guayule rubber at the Intercontinental Rubber Producers factory in Salinas, California. Workers processed the guayule shrub using choppers and crushers to create rubber worms. The bagasse settled in tanks before these worms were dried and rolled into rubber cakes.
