About Harrells, North Carolina
From the North Carolina Gazetteer: "Harrells town largely in SE Sampson County, although a small area of the inc. limits lies in SW Duplin County. Appears as Harrells Store on the Morse-Breese map, 1843. Inc. 1943 as Harrells Store; name changed to Harrells, 1955."
From the Sampson County Yearbook 1956-1957: "Harrells was first known as Harrells Store and was incorporated as such in 1943. It was named for a man of the same name who kept a store there in the early 1840's."
