About Hillsboro, Ohio
From the 1902 history of Highland County, Ohio: "Hillsboro, the county seat, is situated upon the dividing ridge between the Miami and Scioto rivers. It was laid out in 1807 on land belonging to Benjamin Ellicott of Baltimore."
