About Jamison City, Pennsylvania
Jamison City grew up where the Bloomsburg and Sullivan railroad ended in Sugarloaf Township. It was named in honor of Col. B. K. Jamison of Philadelphia. He did much to finance the road. In 1889 the Central Pennsylvania Lumber Company built a large sawmill there. A tannery came next, and lumbermen and tanners filled the village.
