Hagerstown, MD: Main entrance to City Park
Beautifully designed. Printed on archival paper for modern walls.
This vintage postcard captures the main entrance to City Park in Hagerstown, Maryland, the green heart of a town long known as the seat of Washington County. Hagerstown was founded in the 1760s by Jonathan Hager, a German immigrant whose name the city still carries today.
From roughly 1930 to 1945, American "linen" postcards reached their golden age, printed on textured card stock that gave their colors a soft, painterly glow. This edition comes from the Tichnor Brothers Collection, originally published by Tichnor Bros. Inc. of Boston, and has been carefully restored and color-revived by KNOWOL.
A charming piece of Hagerstown history for any wall, printed on museum-quality archival paper and available in three unframed sizes. Fast, free U.S. shipping. Printed in the USA.
