Maurice Tsutomu Shinmoto operates a Caterpillar tractor on a 1,300-acre farm in Terminus, California, on April 10, 1942. The farm was managed by Harry Futamachi and previously farmed by Japanese Americans before evacuation. Shinmoto, from Hiroshima, was interned at Rohwer and Tule Lake during World War II before returning to Japan.
