About Neffs, Ohio
Neffs was founded in the mid-1890s. It was named in honor of Alexander Neff, an early landowner and a respected Belmont County businessman. In its early years it had about fifty people, plus a post office and schoolhouse. By 1928, a brick-paved highway connected Neffs with Bellaire.
