Pleasant Valley is a town of 3,791 people in Eau Claire County, Wisconsin, covering 54.2 square miles, all of it land. Its town government is based in Cleghorn, an unincorporated community, and what is left of the old community of Hadleyville also lies within its borders.
- Irish settlers in 1855Irish immigrants arrived in Pleasant Valley in the spring of 1855 and made their homes together here. The community they started came to be called the Hawkins settlement.
- Old HadleyvilleHadleyville was a community of its own in the early days of the town. Its remains still stand within Pleasant Valley.
- Governed from CleghornPleasant Valley has no city or village at its center. The town keeps its government in Cleghorn, where the Pleasant Valley Town Hall stands.
