About Pulaski, Ohio
Pulaski never had a town government. Even so, the first settlers of the township gathered here. Township elections, the post office and the small local trade all centered at this spot. The first schoolhouse and church were also set up at Pulaski.
Pulaski was first called Lafayette. Alonzo Rawson opened its first store in a house he built himself. He later sold out to A. W. Boynton and left the county. Rawson came from one of the most eminent pioneer families of northern Ohio.
