About Richville, Ohio
Richville is a community of 3,209 people in the southern part of Perry Township, in Stark County, Ohio. The village was laid out in 1836, and today State Route 627 runs through it, tying it to the rest of the metropolitan area around Canton and Massillon.
- A post office from 1872Richville got a post office of its own in 1872. It served the village for three decades, until it closed in 1902.
- The old elementary schoolIn 1997 a local church bought the former Richville Elementary School building, but the church later walked away from it. Officials tried to sell the property to collect the back taxes owed on it, without success, partly because removing its asbestos could have cost a buyer a great deal. In the end the old school was torn down.
