About Rockvale, Colorado
From the Town of Rockvale: "Rockvale was first homesteaded in 1863 by Colonel William Horace May, who migrated from Vermont to Fremont County. After initial farming efforts in the Beaver Creek area were thwarted by flooding, Col. May relocated to higher ground and established his homestead along Oak Creek."
