Set on a barrier island along the Atlantic in Worcester County, Ocean City has welcomed beachgoers and anglers since it opened as a resort town in 1875, growing into one of the mid-Atlantic's most beloved coastal destinations.
From the 1930s through the 1940s, American "linen" postcards reached their golden age, prized for their textured finish and vibrant, saturated colors. This image comes from the work of Tichnor Bros. Inc. of Boston, whose output survives today in the celebrated Tichnor Brothers Collection. This edition has been carefully restored and color-revived by KNOWOL, bringing its original warmth back to life.
