About Steuben, New York
After the Revolution, this land was granted to Baron Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben, the Prussian general who fought for the American side. He spent summers in a log cabin here. The general is buried at a state historic site in town. Steuben was formed from Whitestown in 1792.
