About Stickleyville, Virginia
Stickleyville takes its name from Vastine Stickley, an early pioneer who settled here. Its post office opened in 1850, spelled Stickleysville. The community has been known by both spellings. It lies in the Wallen Creek Valley, close to the Scott County line.
