Located in Worcester County on a barrier island, Ocean City was founded in 1875 and grew into one of Maryland's most beloved seaside resorts, its sandy beaches drawing summer crowds for generations.
From the 1930s through the 1940s, American "linen" postcards reached their golden age, prized for their textured paper stock and vivid, saturated colors. This edition comes from Tichnor Bros. Inc. of Boston, whose work is preserved today in the celebrated Tichnor Brothers Collection. It has been carefully restored and color-revived by KNOWOL to bring back its original charm.
