In February 1943, a woman worker at Vultee-Nashville used a hand drill to work on a horizontal stabilizer for a Vultee A-31 Vengeance dive bomber. The Vengeance was initially designed for the French Air Force but was later used by the RAF and USAAF. It had a crew of two and was armed with six machine guns.
