About Tucker, Arkansas

John Woodfin Tucker started the Tucker Plantation here in 1871 and named it for his wife, Sarah E. Tucker. The cotton plantation grew to 2,800 acres. Paid farmworkers and sharecroppers who lived on the land worked it. The Tucker family also ran the store and the post office.
