About White Heath, Illinois

White Heath was laid out in 1872. Frank White owned the land, and a man named Heath bought it. The town took its name from the two men. James Webster built the first house, and Dr. Unangst was the first doctor.

In 1883 White Heath was a railroad junction. The Havana branch left the Champaign and Decatur road at the White Heath station and headed northwest. The township then had three stations on these lines: White Heath, Galesville and Lodge.
