About Carver, Minnesota
From Warren Upham's 1920 Minnesota Geographic Names: "The village of Carver was platted in February, 1857, and was incorporated February 17, 1877, comprising all the township. Carver creek, named by Captain Carver for himself, the outlet of Clearwater or Waconia lake and numerous other lakes of smaller size, here joins the Minnesota river."
