About Cumming, Georgia
Cumming is the county seat and only incorporated municipality in Forsyth County, within the Atlanta metropolitan area. Established from two land-lottery parcels in 1833 and incorporated the following year, the city became the center of county government. Its population reached 7,318 in 2020.
