About Fostoria, Pennsylvania
Fostoria is a community of 36 people in Antis Township, in northern Blair County. It sits between the Little Juniata River on the east and Norfolk Southern's Pittsburgh Line on the west, 1.5 miles north of Bellwood and 6 miles southwest of Tyrone. It grew up as a stop on the Pennsylvania Railroad's main line, and the Census Bureau first listed it as a census-designated place before the 2020 census.
- A sawmill for the railroadWhen the Pennsylvania Railroad was building its line through the township, the company had a steam sawmill at Fostoria, and William Luther Bush was the man who operated it. Bush was born in Berks County, and he kept his home in Antis Township while he worked the mill.
- A station of about 100By 1911 the railroad's main line crossed the eastern part of Antis Township, and most of the township's people lived along it at Fostoria, Tipton and Pinecroft. That year's county history described Fostoria as a station with about 100 people and a few stores.
