About Harlem, Montana

Harlem is a city of 769 people in Blaine County, on Montana's High Line. It faces Fort Belknap across the Milk River, just north of the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation, and water drawn from the river irrigates valley farms that raise wheat, oats, barley and sweet peas.

“Though the thirteen who gave their lives in service to their country are mourned deeply, the community of Harlem and its surrounding area were united in the outpouring of love and generosity to those who came to bring them home with dignity.”
