About Mars Hill, Maine
Maine's first utility-scale wind facility was the Mars Hill Wind Farm. Its 28 General Electric turbines stand along the ridge and northern part of Mars Hill Mountain. They were expected to make enough electricity for 20,000 homes, and the farm sells power to New Brunswick.
