Moose Lake is a Carlton County city where the 2020 census recorded 2,789 residents. Covering 3.66 square miles, it stands near Moose Lake State Park and the Carlton-Pine county boundary. Its history includes the 1918 Cloquet fire, interpreted at the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie Depot museum.
