About Pecan Hill, Texas

Pecan Hill is a residential city in northern Ellis County, east of U.S. Highway 77 and about nine miles northeast of Waxahachie. Incorporated in the mid-1980s, it grew from 564 residents in 1990 to 735 in 2020. The community has a mayor and council form of government.

  • All-Land AreaThe Census Bureau reports a total area of 2.1 square miles, entirely on land.
