About Plattsmouth, Nebraska
From the University of Nebraska: "Plattsmouth, the county seat of Cass county, was so named because of its location at the mouth of the Platte river. It was laid out and platted by O. N. Tyson, surveyor for the Plattsmouth Town Company, in November, 1854."
