About Somonauk, Illinois
From the DeKalb County History: "In 1854 a postoffice was established at the village of Somonauk, called Somonauk Station. Mail designed for Somonauk would go to the station, and that for the station would frequently be sent to Somonauk postoffice; so a request was made to the postoffice department to change the name of the latter office."
