About Tranquillity, California
Tranquillity's first post office opened in 1910. On September 29, 1970, the town got a salute on the television show Hee Haw. Co-host Buck Owens announced its population, which was then 750. Ray Charles and Lynn Anderson were the musical guests on that episode.
