About Versailles, Ohio
Versailles is a village in Darke County and the only village in Wayne Township. Established in 1819 as Jacksonville, it adopted its present name in 1837. The 2020 census recorded 2,692 residents.

- Renamed in 1837The name Versailles was adopted in 1837, reflecting the French heritage of many early residents.
