About Weippe, Idaho

From the Idaho State Historic Preservation Office: "Weippe residents donated most of the logs used to construct the hall, and local farmers and loggers brought in their teams to help clear the wooded site."

From the Idaho State Historic Preservation Office: "The expedition returned to Weippe in June 1806 on their eastward journey. Three Nimiipuu guides helped the expedition travel onward from Weippe when deep snow in the nearby mountains threatened to thwart the latter’s homebound journey eastward."
