About Acme, Washington
Thomas Stephens and Samuel Parks sent East for a pair of Acme hymnals, and neighbors teased them for it. About 1887 Parks carried a petition for a new post office to Bellingham. The petition had no name on it. He asked if Acme would do, and the clerk wrote it into the records.
