About Nixon, Nevada
The town was named for George Stuart Nixon, a Republican who served Nevada as a U.S. senator from 1905 to 1912. Today it is the seat of the tribal government of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Reservation. The tribe's museum and visitor center stand here as well.
