About Strawn, Illinois
From the 1909 History of Livingston County, Illinois: "VILLAGE OF STRAWN. This village was laid out June 6, 1873, by David Strawn, of Ottawa, who owned the land, and was one of the directors in the construction of the Fairbury, Pontiac and Northwestern road (now the Wabash) from Streator to Strawn."
