West Hempstead is an unincorporated hamlet and census-designated place in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, on Long Island. Its gently sloping landscape lies between the Hempstead Plains and Atlantic Ocean, while Pine Stream crosses the community and feeds Halls Pond.
