About West Sparta, New York
West Sparta is a Livingston County town first settled around 1795. Created from Sparta in 1846, it covers 33.4 square miles in the county's south-central area, northwest of Dansville. Its named hamlets include Byersville, Kysorville, Union Corners, West Sparta, and Woodsville.
